Opponents of an updated bottle bill seek an alternative approach

Opponents of an expanded bottle bill say it’s redundant and burdensome now that curbside and other forms of recycling exist. They admit that it was a good idea at the time, but argue that the resources and environmental impact to return some recyclables to a store and others to a bin does more harm than good.
