A new cheer bug hits Emerson College

By Felecia Bearden

In hopes to bring more spirit to an already theatrical school, Emerson College is recognizing a group of women for there love and passion in cheerleading.

The new spirit team is made up of at least 10 to 11 women who showcase several different dance and gymnastic abilities. Although, the women are not allowed by the school to perform acrobatic stunts and tumbling like most cheerleaders, Interim Athletic Director Stan Nance has allowed them to dance and perform at games in  this year’s basketball season.

Nance and the women said they hope this new beginning may lead to an even more spirited school in the future.
