Isabel Carter is a multimedia journalist currently completing their Masters degree in Journalism at Emerson College in Boston, where they were recently honored with the Journalism Graduate Student Award. Isabel has also received multiple awards for their coverage of Massachusett’s 2018 referendum on non-discrimination protections for trans and gender nonconforming individuals. They are interested in telling stories that bring new voices and perspectives to the media landscape. Isabel is a recipient of the 2019 ProPublica Diversity Scholarship and will be interning with The Pudding this summer.
