Massachusetts’ gun crime worsens despite tough laws

Fifteen years ago, Massachusetts passed some of the toughest gun control legislation in the nation. But, since then, gun crime in Massachusetts has gotten worse, not better.

According to a report from the Department of Public Health, gun-related homicides have nearly doubled since 1998. And gun-related assaults resulting in injuries, more than tripled.
