United States has highest rate of civilian gun ownership

The Small Arms Survey, which is provided by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, estimates the United States has one of the highest rates of civilian gun ownership in the world.

There are around 89 guns per 100 Americans. That’s almost double the next two highest countries, Serbia and Yemen, each with less than 60 guns per 100 persons.
